Wimbledon Cleaner Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Wimbledon Cleaner provides cleaning services to domestic and commercial clients within its designated service area in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not book or use our services.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings given below:

Client means the person, firm, or company who requests or receives cleaning services from Wimbledon Cleaner.

Company means Wimbledon Cleaner, the provider of cleaning services.

Services means any cleaning, related labour, or associated tasks supplied by the Company to the Client.

Service Area means the geographical area within which the Company offers services, primarily focused around Wimbledon and surrounding locations within the United Kingdom.

Booking means a confirmed request for Services accepted by the Company, whether made online, in writing, or verbally.

Cleaner means any employee, subcontractor, or representative engaged by the Company to deliver the Services.

2. Booking Process

2.1 Bookings may be made via the Company’s chosen booking channels, which may include an online form or other communication methods notified to the Client from time to time.

2.2 The Client must provide accurate and complete information when making a booking, including the property address, access instructions, type of premises, required services, any known hazards, and any special requirements.

2.3 All bookings are subject to acceptance by the Company. The Company reserves the right to decline or amend a booking at its discretion, for example if the property is outside the Service Area, if there are health and safety concerns, or if adequate resources are not available.

2.4 A booking will be confirmed when the Company communicates acceptance to the Client and provides a date, time window, and estimated duration for the Services.

2.5 Any estimates or quotes provided before an on-site visit are based on the information supplied by the Client and are subject to change if the actual condition, size, or contents of the property differ materially from the description provided.

2.6 The Client is responsible for ensuring that there is safe and timely access to the property at the agreed time. If access is not available or is delayed due to the Client or a third party, the Company may charge a call-out fee or the full fee for the scheduled visit.

3. Scope of Services

3.1 The Company provides domestic and commercial cleaning services, which may include regular cleaning, one-off deep cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning, and other related services as described in the booking confirmation.

3.2 The exact scope of work for each booking will be set out in the description provided at the time of booking or as agreed between the parties in writing.

3.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse to perform any task that is unsafe, unethical, or outside the reasonable scope of cleaning work, including but not limited to handling hazardous, illegal, or excessively contaminated materials.

3.4 The Client must inform the Company in advance of any fragile items, delicate surfaces, or materials that require special care or specific cleaning products. If the Client fails to do so, the Company will not be liable for damage arising from ordinary cleaning methods.

4. Payments and Pricing

4.1 The Client agrees to pay the charges for the Services as communicated by the Company at the time of booking or subsequently agreed in writing.

4.2 Prices may be based on an hourly rate, a fixed fee, or a combination of both, and may vary according to the type of service, the size and condition of the property, and the location within the Service Area.

4.3 The Company may require payment in advance, a deposit, or card details to secure a booking. Any such requirements will be communicated to the Client prior to confirmation.

4.4 Unless otherwise stated, all prices are inclusive of standard cleaning materials and equipment supplied by the Company. If the Client requests specific branded products or specialist equipment, additional charges may apply.

4.5 Payment is due on or before the day the Services are provided, or in accordance with any alternative payment terms agreed in writing. The Company accepts the payment methods notified to the Client from time to time.

4.6 If payment is not received when due, the Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel further Services and may charge interest on overdue amounts at the statutory rate permitted under UK law, together with any reasonable costs incurred in recovering the debt.

4.7 Any disputes regarding invoices must be raised by the Client in writing within seven days of the invoice date. Failure to do so will be deemed acceptance of the invoice.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Access

5.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing notice to the Company. Minimum notice periods and any applicable fees will be communicated to the Client as part of the booking process.

5.2 As a general guideline, if the Client cancels or reschedules a booking with less than 24 hours notice, the Company reserves the right to charge a late cancellation fee of up to 100 percent of the estimated booking value.

5.3 If the Cleaner is unable to gain access to the property at the scheduled time due to the Client or a third party, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and subject to the applicable fee.

5.4 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking if necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, severe weather, transport disruption, or equipment failure. In such cases, the Company will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any consequential loss arising from such rescheduling or cancellation.

5.5 Regular service arrangements may include minimum term commitments or notice periods for termination. Any such terms will be specified at the time of agreement and will form part of these Terms and Conditions.

6. Client Obligations

6.1 The Client agrees to provide safe access to the property for the duration of the Services, including access to electricity, running water, and adequate lighting where required.

6.2 The Client must ensure that the property is secure and that any alarm systems are deactivated or suitable arrangements are in place to allow access without triggering alarms.

6.3 The Client is responsible for supervising any children, pets, or vulnerable persons present at the property and for ensuring that they do not interfere with the performance of the Services or the safety of the Cleaner.

6.4 The Client must notify the Company of any pre-existing damage, defects, or hazards at the property, such as loose fixtures, unstable furniture, or faulty appliances.

6.5 The Client must not directly employ or engage any Cleaner introduced by the Company for private work, whether during the provision of Services or within six months of the last service date, without the prior written consent of the Company. If this condition is breached, the Company reserves the right to charge a reasonable referral or introduction fee.

7. Health, Safety, and Waste Regulations

7.1 The Company operates in accordance with applicable UK health and safety legislation and expects Clients to cooperate in maintaining a safe working environment.

7.2 Cleaners will not handle or dispose of hazardous, clinical, or controlled waste, including but not limited to medical waste, needles, syringes, chemicals requiring specialist disposal, or materials contaminated with bodily fluids beyond normal domestic cleaning tasks.

7.3 The Client is responsible for complying with local waste and recycling regulations. Where the Services include the removal of general household waste, this will be limited to reasonable quantities and must not include prohibited items such as electrical goods requiring special disposal or large bulky items unless expressly agreed.

7.4 The Company does not operate as a licensed waste carrier. Any removal of waste by the Company will be incidental to the cleaning Services and limited in scope. For larger volumes of waste or items requiring regulated disposal, the Client must engage an appropriate licensed provider.

7.5 The Client must inform the Company of any substances present at the property that may pose a risk to health or safety, including strong chemicals, asbestos, or other hazardous materials. The Company may decline to provide Services where it considers such risks unacceptable.

8. Liability and Insurance

8.1 The Company will exercise reasonable skill and care in providing the Services and will use reasonable efforts to ensure that Cleaners act professionally and responsibly.

8.2 The Company holds appropriate insurance cover for public liability and, where applicable, employer’s liability in accordance with UK requirements. Details can be made available upon reasonable request.

8.3 The Client must report any alleged damage, loss, or unsatisfactory service to the Company as soon as reasonably possible, and in any event within 48 hours of the relevant visit, providing photographs and a clear description where possible. Failure to do so may limit the Company’s ability to investigate and may affect any remedy offered.

8.4 The Company’s liability for any loss or damage arising from the Services, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the lower of the cost of repairing the damage or the total fees paid by the Client for the specific visit during which the incident occurred.

8.5 The Company is not liable for normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, defects arising from poor installation or maintenance, deterioration due to age, or damage resulting from the use of unsuitable cleaning products requested by the Client.

8.6 The Company will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of enjoyment, or any costs arising from delays, rescheduling, or cancellation of Services, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

8.7 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Quality Assurance and Complaints

9.1 The Company aims to deliver a consistent standard of service. If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should contact the Company promptly with full details.

9.2 Where a complaint is upheld, the Company may, at its discretion, offer a re-clean of the affected area, a partial refund, or a credit towards future services. Any such remedy will be considered full and final settlement of the matter.

9.3 The Company may request access to the property to inspect any alleged issues before agreeing to any remedy.

10. Property Keys and Security

10.1 If the Client provides keys or access codes to the Company, these will be stored and used with reasonable care. The Company will take steps to safeguard keys but cannot be held liable for events beyond its reasonable control.

10.2 The Client is responsible for notifying the Company immediately if any security changes are required, such as lock changes or alarm code updates.

11. Personal Data and Confidentiality

11.1 The Company will collect and process personal data about the Client for the purpose of delivering the Services, administering bookings, and maintaining records, in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

11.2 The Company will take reasonable steps to keep Client information secure and will not share it with third parties except where necessary to deliver the Services, comply with legal obligations, or with the Client’s consent.

12. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

12.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, practice, or the nature of the Services.

12.2 The latest version of the Terms and Conditions will apply to all new and ongoing bookings, subject to any specific written agreement to the contrary. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect will constitute acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

13.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

13.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of the Services.

14. General Provisions

14.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable.

14.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

14.3 The Client may not assign or transfer any of their rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without the prior written consent of the Company. The Company may assign or subcontract its rights and obligations where reasonably necessary to deliver the Services.

14.4 These Terms and Conditions, together with any written service specification or booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any prior understandings or arrangements.
